Crossfit Training Day
Good afternoon!
Today I was able to drop in at my local Crossfit Box, Crossfit Black Pearl. It was the first gym I went to outside of MMA training, and was the beginning step into Bodybuilding for me. Although I am not a Crossfitter, I love the style of training and I love Olympic lifting.
Since my car is in the shop, and I missed my workout on Monday (BOOO), I decided I’d hitch a ride with my sister in-law to Black Pearl. I am very glad I went even if it was at 6am. The WOD killed me, and I am pretty confident saying I have decent strength and endurance. But this was hard. And I totally finished last…out of three. But still.
The whole workout after stretching and warming up was:
Build to a 5 rep max of back squats. My weight was 150 I think. After my knee injury I am afraid of squatting still it hurts a little. Plus I really need to find sleeves or knee wraps.
Then we did this little number…
10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 reps of
Deadlifts at 185# then burpees.
I completed this in 14.5 minutes
I also Wanted to die after hah. It was awesome
